March after ME!

I have been 

carrying around 

dog chews with me 

wherever I go. 

As you may've

noticed already,

I really love love LOVE

dogs.

...and animals 

in general.

I think it'd be 

so wonderful 

and funny

if dogs 

start marching 

after me 

when I walk around 

the town.

I will call them 

market dogs 

since people at the 

market 

seem like they take care 

of them.)

anyways 

the market dogs are 

very 

friendly and lovely

here in Chiang Mai.

And I really 

love seeing 

how people

interact with 

dogs.

I often see 

people talking 

to dogs

as if they could

carry on a conversation.

(perhaps, they can?)

It's heart-warming 

and makes me 

feel fuzzy and warm.

All the dogs seem like 

they belong to the 

community 

and also 

have their 

own dog community.

If I were given 

a choice 

for where to be a dog.

I think I would 

choose to be 

a dog 

in Chiang mai. 

So this is one of the 

dogs I love.

He lives in South Market. 

I am behaving well,

give me the chew.

Will ya?

Oh, good.

This chew kind of 
rolls around? 
Next time 
get me a chunk 
of meat.

 I will miss

dupi-dupi dogs.

Evan and I call

but I have been 

extremely sleepy 

these days.

There are big night market 

on Saturday 

here in Chiang Mai. 

I began to dislike 

street fairs 

in Seattle 

 because it's always the same 

vendors,

or company sending 

out people for 

advertising products,

or educating people.

(...or brain-washing people?)

I feel different about 

this night market though,

I like the 

 energy,

smiles 

and all the lights. 

 

music all over the place.

 

 

 

Why is everything in Thailand 

added sugar 

PLUS 

salt? 

 I think I want a room

full of these 

lamps. 

Maybe a bedroom

or a bathroom?

Meet My Friends

Bob and MJ are here now. 

It is so surreal 

and 

great 

to see them 

in a country 

 where I am 

also a foreigner. 

This week is 

going to be 

AWESOME.

pup-buddies 

and I think 

it's time for you 

to meet them 

too.

 

He is the younger one.

He has too much energy 

and I think his teeth 

are growing or something. 

It bites me (softly)!!

I am teaching him 

not to do that.

who likes to show 

 her stomach 

to people.

But as soon as 

she shows 

her stomach,

the young one 

jumps on her 

stomach.

Poor little thing...

She has 

a good attitude though.

 She never gives 

up showing

her stomach.Ha.

 

 

They are so fun 

to play with.

I must look crazy 

laughing and playing 

with the dogs 

alone. 

By the time

I turn 30,

I WILL have my 

own dog!!

Oh I know. 

I found new friends

....but they are not human. 

They are two adorable dogs 

in my neighborhood. 

I don't have photos of them yet

....I got too excited 

playing with them.

I think I will have 

a dog and a cat 

one of these days. 

Matt and I went to get 

foot spa last night, 

Tada. 

Don't worry, 

Matt didn't get his painted pink.

safe trip back, Matt.

Our bird peppers are 

 doing well. 

Sadly cilantro doesn't look

too happy though...

 Hm, sad.

Laos Trip

Laos was a little bit sentimental place.

I don't know if 'sentimental' is the right word.

It's not like the people there

seemed unhappy,

but I felt like there was

something unfulfilled.

It seemed like the country had

so much more potential to

be happier.

Of course I have only seen

VienTiane

but that is the impression I got.

I wonder what they

are doing with the river.

I hope they are planning on bringing back

the water into the river.

I sure didn't feel like

I would be able to live in

VienTiane but

the place did have its own charm.

The people there were really nice,

and their smiles felt real.

I really liked how people there

(especially tuk-tuk drivers)

don't pester you.

The food was good,

especially I was happy

I got to have bunch of sandwiches.

The trip was a lot of fun.

We took 12-hours freezer-cold

bus ride,

We got ripped off a little,

we had many sandwiches,

we walked until our legs felt sore,

I ordered White Russian and

what I got was Margarita (...why? and how?)

etc etc...


It was a lot of fun,

but I am glad to be back in Chiang Mai.



But *sigh*

on the bus back from

Udon Thani,

something went wrong

and now I am sick....again.

(I feel like I am saying

that I am sick all the time....)

I guess I am lucky though,

since I didn't get sick in Laos.


P.S.

Oh yes, the main reason we went

to Laos was to get the visa.

It ended up being a success.
