Busy Mind

I am feeling
a little bit low today
but it's nothing special.

It happens once in a while
so I will just not think about it.

I also won't
try to be cheerful
just for the sake
of being cheerful though.

***********************

I've been thinking
a lot
these days.
I guess some people
believe that thinking
too much isn't good.

Sometimes, it's true
thinking too much
isn't going to take you
anywhere.

But sometimes,
it is important that
you let your mind wander off
and let it do
what it got to do.

Ever since I was a child,
I've always tended to think
about things too much
and it's something
that will probably
never change about me.

It's difficult to say
what I am thinking about
but, I know what I am
trying
to think about.

I am trying to think about
the time to come.

I have re-discovered
something that I've always liked,
something that
I didn't really see clearly
while I was in college.

It's weird,
because
I knew that I enjoyed it
when I was in high school.

Maybe college is just a time
you get lost.

You drown in the wave of interests
and curiosities
and you forget what you used to care for.

...and I also
know some people
finally discover their passion
during the college year.

I don't know which I am.
A mixture of both,
I think.

*******************

Say, even IF I don't find
any further than this
here in Thailand,
I know it was worth my time.

Because, like I said,
I've re-discovered something
very important to me.

... and because the time
I am spending here
is simply very precious.

Does this entry sound
depressing or is it hopeful?
I can't really tell.
I don't intend to be either,
just writing down my thoughts...

Good night.

Caffeinated

On Sunday,
I found a cafe
called
Caffeine Fix

 It's a stylish
 cozy little cafe.

If you go there,
try
Banana Mango Shake!

℡ 0-5332-7204
109 Prapokklao Rd.,
T.Sriphoom,
Muang Chiang Mai

...and today,
I found another
lovely place called

Libernard Cafe

℡ 0-5387-4377
36 Chaiyaphoom Rd.

Apparently,
it is a pretty well
known place
because it is on
Lonely Planet.
Although since I don't
read guide books,
I didn't know
anything about the place.
I just came across
while walking around
the Old City.

Pee pong, the lady
who runs the place was
so nice
she brought me
an ice coffee,
(which I ordered)
a latte,
and a shot of espresso.

So now I am hyper caffeinated.

We chatted for
about 2 hours.
She was a fun lovely person.

Her husband
Noi
(I hope I spelled his name right)
roasts the coffee at the shop.
All the beans are from
Chiang Mai.

I really love
how much pride and joy
they find in what they do.

We bought a bag of beans,
I am excited to try it
tomorrow morning!

Pee Pong strongly
believes that
good coffee is good for
mind and body.

The name
Libernard comes from
her belief
that coffee liberates people's
minds,
which I totally understand.

I was surprised
when she said
she thinks that coffee
lets people open up their minds
and be social.

Yes, I think so too.
Very very much.

A place with good vibe
invites good people in.

Even cats and a dog
came in.

I feel like things are getting
better and better.

well, anyways
if you get a chance
I highly recommend this place.

Very cozy and relaxing.
It makes your heart
comfortably warm.
(I won't say just 'warm'
because Chiang Mai
is hot as is these days)

...Okay.
 Enough talking for the day.

Ciao!

Paris, Texas

Here is another
 film that
I highly recommend.
Paris Texas (1984)
 ☆☆☆☆☆

I started to realized
 I love films
 that don't tell
you the exact ending.

The stories
go on in your
own imagination.
It's up to me
how to interpret.

No happy ending,
 but not neccesarily
 a sad ending.

I guess
in a way,
everybody's life
is like that.

You can die happily
but you can die happily,
with a little bit of
bitter past

...or something
like that.

So a film
that ends in
a neither
sad or happy state,
for me is
more believable
...and beautiful.

It also makes
me think about it
over and over
for the next
few days after
I watch it.

Well, 'Paris, Texas'
will surely make
me do that.

...and some photos
from my Sunday walk.
(which is just a random walk
I like to take
when I feel inspired.)

Many houses
have cool tiles here.

It looks like
a fire work, doesn't it?

little something

So I have
a little news!

I've been offered
to write for a Japanese
magazine
in Chiang Mai.

I will be
writing about
cafes in Chiang Mai,
and it will be
in the magazine
along with
my photos.

This is great.

I get to do
two different kinds of
writing.

I will see
how far I can go.

 Wish me luck.

Yes?

By the way,
oh boy,
I am so broke!

I am living off on
a can of sardines.

oh well,
no biggies.

Ciao!

Your Voice Brings Breeze to Thailand

A friend of mine
from high school
made a song,
and I would like to share
her lovely voice with you.

I think her voice has
power to cleanse
people's heart
and make it all
pure and soft.

Have you noticed?
she made this song
using an entry from my past blog.

I was just thinking today
about lyrics,
and how difficult
it is to make one.

What a coincidnece,
she made a song
using my words.

I never thought
that my words
were lyrical,
so it is nice to know that
somebody felt
differently about it.

For those who want
to know more about this
lovely lady
with sweet voice,
here is her link....

How wonderful
it is
to be able to
inspire somebody
this way....!

 Thank you Fu-chan.
